We are looking for a vibrant, self-starter with a can-do attitude who is interested in rewarding career experience focusing on multiple aspects of our seasonal business. We are searching for a driven, enthusiastic individual to assist with international recruiting, staff management and social engagement projects. The perfect candidate for this position will be an innovative go-getter with an interest in learning about and engaging with students from other cultures and countries.

We are looking for a passionate and creative undergraduate student to intern part-time (or full-time depending on availability) in our corporate office. This will be a 20-24+ hours per week paid position for a minimum of 4 months. Qualified and interested candidates may have the opportunity to extend the internship to the end of the school year. 

This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of Human Resources and Recruiting.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

 

  • Assisting the Recruiting / HR Department with seasonal recruiting process.
  • Assist with scheduling and conducting interviews with students applying through the J-1 Visa Summer Work and Travel Program.
  • Participate in local recruiting activities, including job fairs, open houses, information tables and posting flyers in the community.
  • Assist with organizing both domestic and overseas Lifeguard trainings and orientations.
  • Assist with employee relations, organizing company events.
  • Provide administrative support to the Recruiting / HR Department.
  • This job may require driving a company vehicle for business purposes.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Must be actively pursuing a degree in International Relations, Business, HR or a related field
  • Aquatics background and experience is preferred
  • International education or experience preferred (i.e. study abroad, work abroad, volunteer work, exchange programs, etc.)
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Windows, Skype, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher); Social Networks (Facebook & Twitter)
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to run multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Must possess a dynamic, warm, and outgoing personality
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced multicultural environment
  • Must have a valid driver's license

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Job Dates: November 1st through February 28th - Qualified candidates may be considered to extend through the end of the school year and/or transfer into a full-time, year-round position
  • Pay: $12/hr with possible end of assignment bonus
  • Work hours are generally 9am-6pm (M-F); flexible schedule but must be able to commit to a minimum of 20-24 hours per week during these office hours
