The Recruiting and Staffing Coordinator is a hands-on representative of the Human Resources department whose job is to support Human Resources by recruiting qualified candidates to fill our seasonal positions and assisting with general administration regarding employment, payroll, training and development, legal compliance, and other human resource matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing timely assistance to team members regarding employment and human resource questions and issues.
  • Writing and placing employment ads, as well as maintaining the applicant tracking database.
  • Researching new markets and participating in community-based recruiting activities, including flyering, meeting with community group representatives, participating in job fairs, etc.
  • Managing our social media presence to promote our brand and employment opportunities; research and implement innovative techniques to reach the target audience.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Staffing Department throughout the seasonal recruiting process sourcing new applicants, setting and reaching staffing goals.
  • Reviewing, screening, and maintaining applications and resumes.
  • Interviewing and conducting background screenings for prospective employees.
  • Coordinating new hire paperwork, and new hire orientation meetings. Maintaining employee personnel files to ensure legal compliance. Data entry in HR systems.
  • Preparing offer packets, welcome packets, benefit packets and other employee related information.
  • Act as a resource for seasonal staff during the summer and maintain good relations throughout off-season via social media, email and other forms of communication.
  • Assisting with the creation of HR manual, training manual, and employee handbook.
  • Coordinating and setting-up training classes or meetings.
  • Assisting with creation, distribution and collection of feedback from company-wide surveys.
  • Assisting with providing research for policies, training, strategic planning, and other human resource issues.
  • Assisting with reviewing and preparing time-keeping records and payroll processes as needed to ensure efficient and accurate processing.
  • Assisting with producing company newsletter.
  • Assisting in preparation of special events such as summer students exchange events, Birthday celebrations, End of Season Celebration and other office or company gatherings.
  • Assisting with providing compliance in all areas of human resources. Assisting with additional projects, as assigned.


Job Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Goal oriented
  • Valid U.S. driver's license as position may require driving company vehicle
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Social Networks
  • Well organized and able to multi-task
  • Must have a dynamic, warm, and outgoing personality
  • 2 years of experience in recruiting/staffing preferred
  • Previous Aquatics experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Must be available to work longer hours during the busy summer season, some weekends required
