We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized individual to join our growing team as our Accounting Manager. In this position, you will play a key role in managing and controlling the finances of our business, including creating financial transactions and generating relevant reports. You will also collaborate and communicate with employees, vendors, and customers to ensure accuracy of financial transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial forecasting reports and financial statements for business departments.
  • Create and manage budgets for specific departments.
  • Ensure income tax compliance.
  • Implement and maintain accounting controls.
  • Perform general bookkeeping duties, including posting information to accounting software and regularly reconciling accounts.
  • Pay debts as they come due for payment, including necessary bills as well as supplier and vendor invoices.
  • Manage accounts receivable.
  • Collection of accounts receivable.
  • Obtain necessary tax forms from new vendors.
  • Maintain the annual budget and chart of accounts.
  • Perform reconciliations of bank accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.
  • Make deposits and record all cash receipts.
  • Create and distribute customer invoices and statements.
  • Ensure that receivables are collected in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an organized and streamlined accounting system.
  • Provide administrative support to management when required.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum of undergraduate college degree in accounting, finance or relevant field.
  • Minimum three years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
  • Experience with accounting software including QuickBooks.
  • Data entry.
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Google Sheets, etc.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to keep records and files organized.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
  • Competent collaborator and skilled cross-functional communicator.
  • Strong time manager with respect for deadlines.
  • Ability to identify errors and solve problems.
  • Decisive and critical thinker.

Job Specifications:

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Immediate opening.
  • Full Time position. General office hours are M-F, 9am-5pm.
  • Salary: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year; based on experience and qualifications. Bi-weekly pay period.
